Opening a Turkish bank account
If you want to open a bank account in Turkey, you should have a Tax Number or National Identification Number. The majority of the banks will ask you to have residence permit to open an account in Turkish lira. However, in some cases, if you are a customer making larger investments, you might be able to open an account.
You will be given an application form and present your tax number for opening an account.
You should first create a deposit account first since you will need it to transfer money. If you have a deposit account or a credit card given by the bank, you will be able to pay almost all your bills by just logging in to the internet banking service provided by the bank.
